Our Waikīkī group lessons bring first-timers together with patient, professional coaches in calm, beginner-friendly waves—right on the sand fronting The Twin Fin Waikīkī. From an easy check-in to your first ride, everything is designed to feel welcoming, safe, and fun.

Group Surf Lessons
Share the Waves with Friends!
Our group lesson is the most social, budget-friendly way to learn to surf in Waikīkī. It’s designed for first-timers and casual learners who want to ride their first waves, laugh with others, and feel supported in a safe, fun environment. Ages 12+ are welcome — whether you’re solo, with a friend, or part of a bigger crew.
We keep a 4:1 guest-to-instructor ratio so even though it’s a shared session, you’ll still get personal coaching and in-water guidance every time you paddle for a wave. With a maximum group size of 16–20 surfers, there’s plenty of time in the water and lots of shared energy and celebration when someone stands up for the first time.
What to expect in the water
Your coach will help position you for the wave, give you quick real-time tips, and guide you through stand-ups and resets between rides. You won’t be left guessing — they stay close and make sure each surfer is getting moments of success, encouragement, and repetition.
What’s included:
All surf equipment needed for the session is provided:
- Soft-top surfboard suited to your size and level
- Fins & leash
- Rash guard for comfort and sun protection
- Reef shoes for safe footing on the walk in/out
Just bring your swimwear, sunscreen, and a good attitude — we’ll take care of the rest.
