What to Expect on Your Ride

The Diamond Head E-Bike Tour departs from Jamie O’Brien’s School of Surf at the Twin Fin Hotel in Waikiki, where you’ll check in, fill up your water bottle, and set off on a scenic electric bike ride along O’ahu’s gold coast using a locally curated, self-guided map. The route takes you to Diamond Head State Monument for the iconic 1.6-mile summit hike, offering sweeping views of the Pacific Ocean and Honolulu — all at your own pace. After the hike, cruise back through the charming Diamond Head neighborhood along Monsarrat Ave., where you can wrap up the day with fish tacos, an açaí bowl, or legendary fried rice.

Meet at JOB School of Surf — Twin Fin Hotel

Check in at the oceanfront shop, fill your water bottle at our refilling station, and get your e-bike, helmet, lock, and digital route map. Our team will get you set up and ready to roll.

Ride out along O’ahu’s Gold Coast

Cruise the scenic shoreline to Diamond Head, with optional stops at the War Memorial Natatorium and the Diamond Head lookout for photos and panoramic views of the south shore.

Diamond Head Summit Trail

Hike the iconic 1.6-mile summit trail with 560 feet of elevation gain. Wind through lamp-lit tunnels, climb stairsets carved into the crater, and emerge at the top for sweeping views of Honolulu and the Pacific Ocean on both sides.

Return via Monsarrat Ave.

Cruise back through the charming Diamond Head neighborhood along Monsarrat Ave. Stop at local favorites like Diamond Head Market & Grill, South Shore Grill, Da Cove Health Bar & Grill, or Bogartʻs Cafe before returning to the shop.

Do I need to be an experienced cyclist for a private tour?

Not at all! Our e-bikes provide a boost, making the ride enjoyable and accessible for all skill levels, even if you haven’t biked in years. Your private guide will ensure the pace is comfortable for everyone in your group.

Are helmets provided?

Yes, helmets are provided and are mandatory for all riders for your safety.

What kind of bikes do you use?

We use modern, comfortable electric beach cruiser style bicycles that provide pedal-assist, making every incline feel flat and every ride a breeze for your private group.

Is there an age limit for a private tour?

Riders must be at least 12 years old and capable of safely operating an e-bike. All riders under 18 must be accompanied by an adult.

What if it rains?

Our tours run rain or shine. In the event of severe weather conditions that make biking unsafe, we will work with your private group to reschedule or offer a full refund.

Can I bring my own bike on a private tour?

Our tour price includes a high-performance e-bike rental designed for this experience. If you prefer to use your own bike, please contact us directly for pricing adjustments.
