At Jamie O’Brien School of Surf, our Kids Surf Lesson is specially designed for children ages 10 and under to learn surfing in a safe, supportive, and super-fun environment. With patient coaches, beginner-friendly boards, and calm Waikīkī surf, your keiki will feel safe, stay engaged, and celebrate their first ride.

What the Lesson Looks Like
Check-in & gear up
Meet your coach on the sand at The Twin Fin Waikīkī. We’ll provide a soft board, rash guard and reef walkers sized for your child.
Beach warm-up & demo
On the sand we’ll cover paddling basics, how to pop up, safe wave entry, and board discipline—all explained in kid-friendly terms.
Into the water
In the gentle break of Waikīkī, your coach stays close by while your child paddles, rides, and builds confidence. Every wave is a chance to learn, cheer, and progress.
